The exclusive Team CJ C Type is an exacting replica of the 1951/3 Jaguar XK120C “C Type” factory race cars that caused such a sensation at Le Mans when new. Each car features a tubular steel chassis constructed to precisely the same specifications as the original, with a stunning quality, aircraft grade aluminium body that replicates the original down to the most minute detail.
The cabin of a Team CJ C Type is virtually indistinguishable from that of an original factory car, with the dash, transmission tunnel, floors and seat frames all painstakingly crafted in aluminium. Seats are trimmed in hand picked English bull hides.
As with the original cars, the running gear of a Team CJ C Type is derived from an XK120 or Mk VII Jaguar donor car, which also provides the titled identity of the finished car. The engine is a period correct 3.4 liter Jaguar power plant, built to Team CJ Stage One specs, including forged CJ pistons, D Type camshafts and triple 40 DCOE Webers. Power output is conservatively rated at 250 HP, with higher states of tune available upon request. The road wheels are custom made Borrani wires, designed and built specially for the Team CJ C Type, with polished alloy rims and heavy duty competition spokes.
The cost of a Team CJ C Type is $395,000, which includes the titled identity of an early 1950’s Jaguar. Each car will take approximately 18 months to complete. All Team CJ C Types are 100% road legal.
