Alloy bodied construction in the style of factory lightweight racing E Types
This 1963 Series One E Type (chassis # 879690) was the subject of a no expense spared build in the Team CJ Workshops in the style of the famous 1963 factory lightweight racing E Types. The all aluminum body is finished in Opalescent Gunmetal over Dark Tan hides. The car features a host of Team CJ performance and reliability upgrades, including a Stage Two engine rebuild complete with a wide angled cylinder head. In its current conservative state of tune, the engine produces 325HP and 335 pounds feet of torque.
In the Spring of 2019 the car featured in an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage where Jay described our Lightweight as “The fastest 6 cylinder Jaguar I have ever driven – it’s just fantastic!” Shortly thereafter, Road & Track magazine, in an article about this very car, declared “This is the E Type at Its Finest!”
The car has been carefully maintained as part of the Team CJ fleet ever since, and remains in superb condition having been driven less than 1,000 miles. A recent major service was performed in our workshops.
