Presenting our 1971 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow “FHC” (Fixed Head Coupe) by Mulliner Park Ward, finished in elegant Brewster Green over black Connolly leather. Showing approximately 21,194 miles (34,108 km), this example has to be among the MPW Coupes available today.
Originally delivered to a family in Italy, the car remained there before passing to a relative in Switzerland, who later relocated to Florida. While in Florida, it was serviced, maintained, and ultimately sold by Rolls-Royce specialists Vantage Motorworks. It has since been cared for by marque specialists Park Ward Motors, then latterly in the Team CJ Workshops.
The body is straight, the chrome and brightwork are in very good shape with no pitting, and the rubber trim remains in good condition. The Brewster Green paint, still showing a deep gloss more than 25 years after a bare-metal respray, is starting to show its age in certain areas. Close-up images of flaws have been provided in the gallery. Despite these minor flaws, the paint is still smart and presentable, overall.
Inside, the interior is a real highlight and almost presents as new. The Connolly leather was reupholstered with exceptional attention to original detail—it is soft, supple, and expertly finished. The woodwork is virtually flawless, having been refinished to Rolls-Royce standards at very high cost. The original wool headliner is clean and free of typical wear. All interior features function properly—seats, windows, gauges, etc. The recently serviced air conditioning blows cold. Mechanically, the car is in outstanding condition. The engine bay and undercarriage are clean and well-kept, and all hydraulics and brakes have been well serviced and function as intended.
In our ownership over the last several years, the car has been maintained without regard to cost.
