This 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is finished in Sunburst Yellow (685) over black Nappa leather and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes the AMG SL-1 styling package, a removable Panoramic hardtop, a black soft top, 18″ AMG wheels, xenon headlights, fog lights, heated multi-contour seats, automatic climate control and a Bose sound system.

The owner acquired the car 9 years ago in California and subsequently relocated to Texas. The vehicle is offered with a clean Carfax with no accidents shown and a clean Texas Title. There is inconsistency in the paint depth, indicating that the front bumper, rear bumper, trunk and rear quarters may have been repainted during previous ownership. The Sunbeam Yellow is believed to be 1 of 12 or 16 (depending on source) imported to the USA.

Silver 18″ five-spoke AMG wheels are mounted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing date codes from 2021. The wheels were refinished and brake fluid was refreshed by the owner in preparation for the sale.

The cabin features heated and power-adjustable multi-contour seats upholstered in black Nappa leather with burl wood accents on the doors and center stack. In addition there is a burl wood center armrest and burl wood door armrest cover.  Amenities include a deployable roll bar, automatic climate control, a wind deflector, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a heated rear hardtop window, a Bose sound system and cruise control.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160 mph speedometer, a 7k rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy and fuel level. There is additional burl wood accent in the instrument cluster. The digital odometer indicates 27k miles, approximately 3,000 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.0-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb/ft of torque. Work noted in preparation for the sale includes replacing the valve cover gaskets, engine air filter and fluid services. The Mass Airflow sensor was replaced in 2023. Oil and Filter were changed in January 2025.

The hydraulic operated top works perfectly, opening and closing as it should.

Driver side Photochromatic mirror is dim but clean, the new owner will have the option to replace it at their discretion.
